UD2-102EC is a hand-operated ultrasonic flaw-detector “Peleng” series. It makes possible detection and sizing of inner flaws in metallic and non-metallic materials, also in welding. 

UD2-102EC can operate in hard-to-reach places, on big altitude and in hazardous conditions. It provides 100 presets and can save the results.

User-friendly interface:

  • digital parameters can be input with digit keys or with “+” and ”-“ keys;

  • essential variables (frequency, beam angle, crystal mode, etc.) are always indicated;
  • procedure number, type of test piece, etc. – are always indicated (for specializes software editions);
  • latest set of variables is automatically saved when the instrument is turned off.

Automatic flaw alarm:

  • two gates, allowing to realize various methods of testing;
  • independent replacement of the begin and the end of the gate, possibility to replace the whole gate;
  • sound and light alarm (alarm can be prolonged in order not to miss short signals from small flaws).

Automatic algorithms:

  • automatic time-base optimisation;
  • sound velocity automatic set in correspondence to the material, wave mode and beam angle;
  • automatic set of pulse repetition frequency;
  • distance meter zero automatic calibration by the reference signal;
  • automatic sensitivity set by the necessary flaw size;
  • automatic flaw sizing by the built-in DGS-curves.

Sensitivity equalisation:

  • manual set time-gain;
  • automatic time gain;
  • built-in DAC;
  • manual DAC;
  • automatic time-gain, based on built-it DGS (has no analogs!).

Flaw sizing:

  • constant indication of cordinates, equivalent size, detection coeffitient, and amplitude by “smart” mark, tracking the pulse maximum;
  • “manual” mark for measuring any pulse parameters (in A-scan and B-scan, also in “frozen” screen) with automatic maximum tracking.
Nonvolatile memory:
  • saves A-scans, B-scans and work reports;
  • creates and saves custom presets, protected from change with passwords;
  • creates and saves “sets of presets” for multi-stage testing (has no analogs!);
  • all data can be transferred to PC.
